Advanced Feeds

I used feeds to add my initial content in bulk. Now I need to add a lot MORE data content, and also update the existing data. I know when I migrate my other D7 sites, importing content is going to be important.

I have made mistakes with trial-and-error feeds. Losing data out of fields because a column was forgotten, and HTML changing.  I'm especially struggling to export all existing fields of a content type to work from, in terms of updating.

Entity Reference is now in core. What next?

Entity Reference module was merged into core just this week leading up to Backdrop LIVE! What's next for making references a fully integrated part of Backdrop core?

References are one of the key features of a structured content management system, and having Entity Reference in core will enable tighter integration with Views, Layouts, the Entity system, and other parts of Backdrop.

Social Hour - Game Time

We've set aside two blocks of time during Backdrop LIVE for a little social interaction and online gaming. Please, post a note in the comments if you are interested in attending and what games you would like to play (feel free to share new ideas in the comments).

Here are a few ideas to get us started:

Drupal 7 to Backdrop CMS upgrades for complex applications

This presentation will discuss the Drupal 7 to Backdrop CMS upgrade process for two Stanford University web applications: Stanford On & Off-Campus Learning opportunities (solo.stanford.edu) and Stanford Seed Funding (seedfunding.stanford.edu). The presentation will cover the decision making process that led the product and developer teams to choose a Backdrop CMS upgrade over rebuild options, and will broadly outline the process for estimating and performing the ~550 hour upgrade.

Backdrop Successes and Frustrations: A nonprofit's journey

This session is for anyone who is still debating whether to use Drupal, Backdrop, or some other CMS, or for those new to Backdrop who want to know more about how to avoid the mistakes and frustrations we made getting to launch.
