In this discussion, we'll talk about:

1. How to create contrib themes
2. How to maintain contrib themes
3. How to encourage the development of more contrib themes

There is currently an effort being made to port the Organic Groups module from Drupal 7. This is a large and complex module, but important to many sites. In this session, we'll talk about:

• What the Organic Groups module does and why it's important to the community
• The progress of the port 
• If the work is ongoing, how we can work together to expedite completion
• If the work is complete, what we learned from the experience

ProboCI is an open source platform for the testing, debugging, and collaborating on web based projects for Backdrop CMS, Drupal, Wordpress and any PHP based project. It operates on pull requests and generates specific build environments that can be scripted and standardized to provide a uniform way to do both automated and manual testing of modules and interfaces.

Let's talk about:

• What are recipes for Backdrop CMS?
• How do make Recipes?
• What is the future of recipes?

If you're new to Backdrop, come in for a discussion on how Backdrop can be the best option for creating your new website. As we all know, WordPress has been the goto for new sites and it has a large user base. But if you plan to do anything other than a basic site of a few pages and a blog, WordPress can require custom code for most things that are even a little bit off the beaten path.

This is our opening session when we'll talk about:

1. How Backdrop LIVE works
2. Our plans for the event
3. Introduce participants
4. Opportunity to add topics to the schedule

Stanford has launched two sites on Backdrop CMS this year:

In this session we will cover the very basics for anyone that is new to Backdrop CMS. 

• What is Backdrop CMS?
• How is it the same and/or different from Drupal?
• How to get started with Backdrop?

Tools for working on your Backdrop site locally. This is an opportunity to share what tools you use or ask others about the tools that they use.

• DDev
• MAMP / WAMP
• OS Provided Tools
• Other...

We'll discuss what a migration is and is not, various ways of migrating data, and whatever anyone wants to talk about up related to migrating.

I do not plan on going through an actual migration, as showing a migration UI in progress tells no one anything, and creating the migration that would be done in the UI would take more than the allotted time to do.
