Content Migrations and One-click migrations (combined session)

Backdrop is a content management system -- it gives you lots of tools that help you manage content.  But where does that content come from?  How do you get it into the system?  How do you get it out?

When people talk about migrating data between systems, they'll often refer to the "ETL" process: Extract, Transform, and Load. Sometimes these steps are completed separately and visibly, such as when data is exported from a source system as CSV files and then later imported into the destination system. Sometimes they're combined, as in the built-in Backdrop upgrade from Drupal 7. Often a process is created that lies somewhere in between.  Sometimes data is simply cut-and-pasted at the UI from the old system into the new!

In this session, I'd like to explore the current state of content migrations.  What do people use to get data into Backdrop?  How do they get it out?  How do you move data between Backdrop systems?  What works and what doesn't?

Let's figure out what the current state-of-the-art is, and brainstorm possible improvements.
