A discussion on measures available in core, contrib and in hosting to secure Backdrop websites.
During a discussion on bee during the last Backdrop Live, there was discussion around the site alias functionality that drush has, which would enable bee to perform actions on remote installs of Backdrop. Given that drush support for Backdrop is likely to end with the Drupal 7 End of Life I think that ensuring this functionality is available for bee going forward is becoming more and more important. I would like to explore with people who used the functionality
In Drupal 7 there were many ways to setup e-commerce sites, and lots of sites were setup with each of those options. Ubercart has been ported and has a lot of other modules to extend it, but many others are not ported yet or are only available with minimal or partially ported features.
Come discuss the commerce options that are available for site owners and what we can do to make more options available.
I recently began trying to learn more about Solr search. I found old instructions on getting Solr to work with Drupal 8 locally using Lando. After getting that working I wanted to see if I could do the same thing with Backdrop. It turns out that it isn't that different. Come learn how to setup Solr search to begin experimenting and learning more.
I'll screenshare a short demo of a project that I'm currently working on, including a peek at the back end showing how I've put things together and what the administrative experience is like for the site admins. The site makes much use of Paragraphs and the new modal administration capabilities in that module.
Given interest in Backdrop and CiviCRM (based on CiviCRM usage stats of recent months) I thought it might be worth opening a room up for conversation on that topic. I don't plan to have a big presentation but I do still have the demo site that I built for the session I did at Backdrop Live in September 2020, so I'll dust that off. The video below was recorded during that session so we don't have to redo it completely but folks can bring questions and things to share about things that were covered in that session or about the topic in general.

There is currently an effort being made to port the Organic Groups module from Drupal 7. This is a large and complex module, but important to many sites. In this session, we'll talk about:
ProboCI is an open source platform for the testing, debugging, and collaborating on web based projects for Backdrop CMS, Drupal, Wordpress and any PHP based project. It operates on pull requests and generates specific build environments that can be scripted and standardized to provide a uniform way to do both automated and manual testing of modules and interfaces.
