Slot 2: 9:00 am America/Los_Angeles - November 14, 2024

Triplo is based in Minnesota with an office and small team in Bangladesh. Most of our team in Bangladesh has never presented at an event like this. We've decided that each of us will give a short 'lightning talk' or demonstration of something that we have worked on lately or a new module we've found. We invite others to join with us and bring something you would like to show or share with others as well. We expect each talk/demo to last about 5-10 minutes. 

Here are the demonstrations we have planned so far:

  1. Slideshow Recipe. One of our members created his first recipe recently, a simple slideshow to replace the hero image on the front page. This recipe configures a slideshow using the Flexslider module and provides some sample content. Sudipto will demonstrate the module and share what he learned about the process of creating recipes.
     
  2. Tiny Slider. This is a brand new module, built specifically for Backdrop CMS using the Tiny Slider javascript library. The module was created by Rodobaldo Perez, who was unable to participate today and demo the module himself. So, we decided that we'd demo this new module AND explain how it is similar to and different from the two most popular slideshow modules for Backdrop CMS, Views Slideshow and Flexslider. 
     
  3. We love the registration module and have been using it to schedule some webinars and classes on Simplo.Site. Our biggest frustration is the lack of a payment option to collect registration fees. We recently started working on a new module to add a Stripe payment option to the Registration module. We think this will be a valuable option for many Backdrop sites. We're still working on the module, but will demonstrate our progress so far and maybe even ask for some ideas or feedback. 
     
  4. Pannellum - A recent Backdrop CMS discovery, rocked Tim Erickson's world, when he found that Backdrop CMS actually has an existing module that creates a field formatter for Panoramic images.
